We are pleased to announce the formation of the Belle Isle Conservancy. The new Conservancy is the result of the merger of four long-time park support agencies: Friends of Belle Isle, Belle Isle Botanical Society, the Belle Isle Women's Committee and the Friends of the Belle Isle Aquarium. Together, as the Belle Isle Conservancy, the new organization will continue to advance the projects started by the four groups and also raise funds for more ambitious preservation and enhancement programs.
Mission
The mission of the Belle Isle Conservancy is to preserve, protect, restore and enhance the natural environment, historic structures and unique character of Detroit's scenic Belle Isle as a public park - now and forever.
